Job summary

Delta Utilities is seeking a C&M Technician to perform field operations including manual labor for installation, repair, construction and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems in Louisiana. The role involves operating tools, locating lines, and handling equipment with safety as a priority.

Candidate will work in an environment requiring punctuality and the ability to follow DOT/SAP processes. A high school diploma, valid license, and willingness to obtain required welding

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent knowledge of English, math, punctuation, grammar and spelling.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate tools and perform basic mechanical tasks.
• Welding prep and pipe preparation knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to learn heavy equipment operation and gas meter work.
• DOT drug testing and safety compliance will be required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs or replaces steel and plastic pipe.
• Provides First Responder assistance in emergencies.
• Locates gas lines.
• Loads and unloads equipment, tools, and supplies to/from the truck.
• Transports equipment to work sites and completes required paperwork.
