Job summary

The Feeney Brothers Utility Services is seeking a Utility Construction Laborer to assist in installing and maintaining underground gas utilities. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards and teamwork to complete projects on time.

You will perform manual labor such as digging, trenching, loading materials, and assisting in placing underground pipes. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Vocational training or construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of gas installation techniques and standards desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks, including excavating, trenching, and shoring, around heavy equipment.
• Use hand tools to dig around existing utility structures to prevent damage.
• Load and unload equipment and materials; restock supplies as needed.
• Prepare sites to maximize efficiency of construction work.
• Assist in placing underground pipes and conduits, measure, mark, join, seal, and bed underground pipes.
• Identify utilities and potential hazards; assist in manually digging and protecting dig crews.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite, free from unnecessary hazards.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and incident reporting procedures.
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership.

Education
