Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Technical Specialist Manager to deliver asset management projects for natural gas utility clients within the Infrastructure Advisory group. This role blends regulatory insight with asset performance and investment strategy to improve safety, reliability, and affordability.

You will work with a team of professionals across engineering, operations, and regulatory affairs, leveraging industry knowledge to shape long-term infrastructure investments and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• 7+ years in a business/consulting environment.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advise gas distribution and transmission clients on regulatory, asset management challenges.
• Interpret PHMSA and state regulations into actionable strategies.
• Stay current on evolving regulations and industry trends through associations.
• Assess impact of regulatory and industry changes on asset management programs and capital planning.
• Support development of risk-based investment prioritization frameworks and long‑term strategies.
• Advise clients on asset health, performance, lifecycle management, and replacement planning.
• Support regulatory filings and capital investment justification through risk analyses.
• Collaborate across engineering, operations, asset management, regulatory and executives.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
