Job summary

Peoples Gas Light & Coke Co., a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Field Coordinator in our Chicago, Illinois location. Inspects and directs contractor work on gas mains and services, maintains records, and ensures work in accordance with company and industry standards.

Responsibilities include preparing daily reports, ensuring site safety, performing basic surveying tasks with simple tools, and coordinating with customers, builders and contractors.

Qualifications

• H.S Diploma, HSED or GED is required.
• 1 year of staging projects or task assignment on a project team.
• 3 years of using Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar applications.
• 3 years interpreting and applying construction design specifications.
• Sr. Field Coordinator: additional gas operations computer systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and directs contractor work on gas mains, services, restorations, or maintenance.
• Prepares construction documents such as daily progress reports and drawings.
• Maintains safety on the job site and in public areas.
• Performs basic survey tasks with simple equipment and measurements.
• Communicates with shop personnel, contractors and management; uses Excel, Word, MS Project.
• Liaises with customers, builders and contractors to locate new gas facilities.
