Job summary
Quest Defense Systems and Solutions seeks a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to perform structural analysis and substantiation for gas turbine components. You will use FEA (ANSYS, Simcenter, Nastran/Patran, ABAQUS) and hand calculations to support design decisions and ensure durability and fatigue life meet requirements.
The role collaborates with internal teams and customers, documents plans and results, and communicates findings through reports and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
- 2+ years of gas turbine structural analysis or related aerospace structures work.
- Strong understanding of fatigue, fracture mechanics, strength, and durability principles.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural and mechanical integrity analysis for gas turbine engine components and systems.
- Use FEA and hand calculations to support design decisions and customer requirements.
- Evaluate component durability, strength, fatigue life, and fracture mechanics considerations.
- Document analysis plans, results, and recommendations clearly for reviews and customers.
