Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; turbomachinery coursework recommended.
• 3+ years in related engineering work preferred; MS or PhD may offset experience.
• Experience with welding fabrication, machining, and repair techniques for IGT components.
• Ability to read technical documents and write reports; present information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing qualification of new products and component upgrades.
• Develop manufacturing/process improvements to reduce cost and lead time.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve field or manufacturing issues.
• Evaluate non-conforming product for reliability and performance impact.
• Provide technical clarifications and design changes to internal teams and suppliers.
• Lead 8D RCA activities and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure deliverables meet MHPSA and customer requirements.
• Understand M501J, M501G, M501F, and W501F gas turbine configurations.
