Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company on the North Slope seeks a skilled Instrument/Turbine Technician to support major overhaul and controls for gas turbines and related compressor/pump trains. You will design, install, and validate recontrols for OEM and legacy PLC systems.

Ideal candidates bring at least 5 years in instrumentation/electrical maintenance, experience with GE/Ruston/Rolls-Royce/Sulzer turbines, and the ability to work independently in a demanding, hazardous environment on Alaska's North Slope.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in instrumentation maintenance or electrical maintenance with strong controls background.
• Experience with gas turbine controls and associated systems is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks and work on call 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on gas turbine drivers and control systems.
• Tune anti-surge and PID controls in gas compression and power generation.
• Calibrate/transmitters and instrument instrumentation, both analog and digital.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs and maintain/repair alarm and shutdown systems.
• Support operations with overhaul activities and project documentation.
