Job summary

OFS is seeking a Controls Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize control systems for gas turbines used in power generation or industrial applications. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the control systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical, Control, or Mechanical Engineering, and experience in control system design, with knowledge of control theory, PLC programming, and real-time systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience in control system design for gas turbines or other rotating machinery.
  • Familiarity with gas turbine operation and thermodynamics is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control algorithms for gas turbine control systems.
  • Create detailed control system design documents.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate control systems with hardware and software.
  • Analyze system performance data to optimize control strategies.
  • Conduct simulations and testing of control systems.
  • Support troubleshooting during turbine commissioning and operation.
