Job summary

AltaGas, via Washington Gas, seeks a Transmission Engineer (I–IV) to design and support engineering for gas transmission. The role covers civil engineering contributions across the GT Unit and operations, with seniority determined by experience. Offers competitive salary and full benefits.

You will lead complex pipeline projects, manage budgets, develop standards, and support COE processes, while collaborating with internal partners to ensure safe, compliant execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil) required.
• Knowledge of related engineering disciplines and applicable codes and standards.
• Proven ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with internal and external business partners.
• Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office for data management, research, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage transmission and high pressure pipeline projects including route analysis, design, cost estimating, easement and permitting, material acquisition, construction specs, bid support and construction management.
• Manage budget and provide cost/schedule forecasts; develop annual capital budgets; provide MOS reports.
• Provide civil engineering design function for the Corporate Engineering and GT Unit.
