New Jersey Resources’ NJNG is seeking an Engineer III to plan, design, coordinate and manage multiple natural gas distribution projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and safe, reliable service.

You will develop cost estimates, create drawings, oversee field investigations, and collaborate across departments. Hybrid work with on-site and remote days, base pay and benefits reflect a supportive, growth‑oriented culture.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• A minimum of 6 years' experience in public utility engineering or related field.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare work orders for development and design of operating pressure requirements for new and existing main installations.
• Prepare cost estimates for all work orders.
• Prepare construction drawings depicting changes in the distribution system.
• Inspect potential job sites to assess field conditions for system design.
• Design new gas distribution systems for adequate supply to new customers and commercial accounts.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
