Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking a Field Operations Technician to perform non-contact customer service orders, line locating, and leakage surveys where applicable.

You will drive a company vehicle, load and operate tools, and complete maintenance and reports as required. Responsibilities include completing line locating procedures under OKIE 811, turning gas service off when needed, installing electronic reader transmitters (ERTs), inspecting equipment, and maintaining records and maps with GIS tools in

Qualifications

• Up to two years of relevant field experience.
• Experience with gas piping and disconnected lines.
• Ability to use, maintain and repair common field tools.
• Basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and work logs.
• Fluent reading/writing of English.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Drive and maintain company vehicle; load, unload, and operate tools and equipment.
• Assist with pipeline locating using conductive, inductive and measurement methods.
• Complete line locating procedures complying with OKIE 811 law.
• Turn gas service off, remove meters, and install electronic reader transmitters (ERTs).
• Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and repair leakage survey tools and equipment.
• Patrol and maintain pipeline markers; complete encroachment investigations as applicable.
• Complete and update reports (equipment maintenance, mileage, timesheets, GIS, logs).
• Maintain records (orders, miles, customer info, leak data and work orders, inventory).
• Exercise regular attendance; perform additional duties as assigned.
