Job summary

AltaGas is seeking a Pressure Technician I to support the safe and efficient operation of pressure-regulating equipment at our GSO facilities. You will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience maintaining and operating essential gas system equipment to help keep service reliable for customers.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical, hands-on work and wants to grow their skills in a structured, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• At least 18 months of hands-on technical experience with tools or equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of math, physics, electronics, and gas systems.
• Ability to read basic maps, drawings, and technical documents.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to manage emails/files.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and maintenance under supervision.
• Assist with operation and maintenance of Gas System Operations facilities, including regulator station maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Perform periodic inspections of stations to ensure safety and reliability.
• Complete installation work for GSO facilities: tubing, conduit, wiring, piping, and structural framework.
• Conduct site upkeep tasks: yard/building maintenance, digging, snow removal, painting, grass cutting.
• Interpret company records and station drawings; communicate clearly via radio and team coordination.
• Stock and maintain company vehicles and tools to ensure readiness for jobs.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
