Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking field technicians to inspect and evaluate natural gas leaks, reporting to the local gas company. The role requires extensive outdoor work, travel up to 75% including weekends, and the ability to operate a company vehicle.

Candidates must be mechanically inclined, able to troubleshoot technology, and comfortable with training courses and testing. Strong communication with customers and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this field.

Qualifications

Must be flexible to travel up to 75% of the time, including weekends.
Ability to fly or drive anywhere in the U.S.
Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot technology.
Ability to drive in all-weather conditions.
Must learn training material in classroom and/or online courses and pass all qualification tests.
Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and walk several miles per day.
Ability to carry a minimum of 20 lbs. of equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with customers.
Must observe and follow company/client procedures.
Must be available for overtime, which may include weekends.
Comfortable using computers/technology.
Reliable personal vehicle may be required during the 4–5 week training period.

Responsibilities

Detect, locate, and evaluate natural gas leaks.
Report leaks to the local gas company.
Drive a company vehicle for field work.
