Job summary

CenterPoint Energy seeks a qualified leader to supervise the operation and maintenance of Underground Gas Storage and LP Facilities. The role ensures safety, regulatory adherence, and financial targets while coordinating with Reservoir Engineering and Storage Integrity teams.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, contractor management, budgeting, and guiding reservoir analysis to optimize gas storage performance across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five years professional technical experience in natural gas or equivalent industry.
• Experience with codes and standards.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical process equipment.
• Experience in gas storage engineering or petroleum engineering desirable.
• EIT or PE desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise short- and long-term operation and maintenance of Underground Gas Storage and LP Facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, regulatory, and financial requirements.
• Coordinate with Reservoir Engineering and Storage Integrity groups.
• Manage capital improvement projects at multiple locations.
• Hire and supervise staff, consultants, and contractors.
• Manage budgets and interfaces with regulators and authorities.
• Conduct reservoir analysis and liaise with internal teams for storage optimization.
