Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked with food and grocery items and to support back-room operations. You will move products from pallets to shelves, manage backstock, and keep areas clean and safe while delivering friendly customer service.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. Overnight shifts help prepare the store for the day ahead.

Qualifications

• Entry-level customer-service role focusing on merchandising and store cleanliness.
• Ability to follow processes and work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Comfort with physical tasks and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
