Hillsboro Chevron/Cain Petroleum is seeking an Assistant Station Manager to support the station manager and deliver excellent customer service. You will fuel vehicles, handle transactions, and assist with daily reports and opening/closing duties.
Experience in fuel/gas stations is preferred; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for a smooth operation and compliance with DEQ reporting as required.
Hillsboro Chevron/Cain Petroleum is hiring now for an Assistant Station Manager.
This position is responsible for assisting the station manager and providing excellent customer service while fueling vehicles with requested fuel grades by performing the following duties.
1. Completes morning books and paperwork and maintains daily DEQ reporting requirements.
2. Prepares daily reports of fuel and oil for store open and close.
3. Assists manager with shift coverage.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Previous experience and/or training in fuel/gas station environment is required. One year of related experience and/or training in management, assistant management or supervisory role is preferred.

Has the minimal skills necessary to operate a computer. Can log on to a computer system, navigate in windows, perform simple tasks within applications and enter information into a database.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces (concrete and tile) for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift, excluding scheduled breaks).
Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing beverage 30-50 lbs. (e.g., cases of cases, bags of ice, propane tanks, and stock boxes).
Frequent bending, squatting, kneening, twisting, and reaching overhead to stock low or high shelves, clean equipment, and load outdoor displays.
Ability to walk on uneven pavement.
Repetitive Hand Movements: Fine motor skills required to operate cash registers and POS systems, scrape ice, pump fuel, and wipe down counters.
Continuous Movement: Ability to transition quickly between indoor cash register duties and outdoor forecourt maintenance.
Repetitive hand gripping (for fuel nozzles)
Weather Exposure: Exposure to variable outdoor weather conditions for extended periods, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow, while maintaining the pump areas.
Chemical & Odor Exposure: Ability to safely work around gasoline fumes, oil, automotive fluids, and standard commercial cleaning chemicals.
Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as high-visibility vests, safety glasses, or gloves when necessary.
