Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Service Technician I to perform gas service installations, maintenance, and repairs in Wallace, NC. The role requires CDL and knowledge of propane, HVAC, or plumbing, with emphasis on safety and codes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• CDL is required.
• Experience in propane, HVAC, or plumbing preferred.
• General understanding of the propane industry and all applicable codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Make installations for gas service in accordance with applicable codes.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair fuel systems and appliances.
• Perform gas check and document.
• Read meters and verify meter serial numbers.
• Disconnect gas service if no arrangements can be made.
• Reconnect services and re-light appliances as required.
