Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation is seeking a field service professional to support basic customer connections, disconnections, and meter reading. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable gas service delivery in customer premises across the service area.

Qualifications

• General educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or GED.
• Operator Qualifications (OQ) and related classroom training or certifications must be maintained.
• Ability to utilize the Company's internet/intranet site and available resources for data entry, reference and/or retrieval tasks.
• Ability to communicate with internal/external customers to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic work using clearly prescribed procedures.
• Responds to customer requests for service including connections and disconnections as operator qualified.
• Informs customer of needed repairs and confirms customer understanding and satisfaction with work performed.
• May disconnect service as necessary and perform collection efforts on delinquent accounts.
• Installs, programs, and operates Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as needed.
• Assists with activities to ensure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies.
• Completes and maintains accurate records and reports to meet company and regulatory requirements.
• May read meters and record usage for billing.
