Job summary

Eversource is seeking a QC Specialist to support the implementation of the Quality Control program across gas distribution activities including construction, maintenance, and leak surveys. The role ensures compliance with all standards and safety rules and may direct and stop work as needed on job sites.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 3–5 years in gas distribution or utility settings, with a path to becoming Operator Qualified.

Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge/Skills: Requires knowledge of gas construction and maintenance standards, work practices and procedures, and safety requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, related discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in gas distribution, utility or technical experience preferred
• Licenses & Certifications: Will be expected to become Eversource Operator Qualified

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe work practices are being employed in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety Handbook and Contractor Safety Manual
• Verifies that work is performed by qualified personnel and that work packages are in order with procedures
• Monitors resources associated with the Company's re-dig program
• Supports onboarding of contractor crews and adherence to Operator Qualification Plan
• Identifies non-compliant conditions and recommends corrective action
• Documents inspection results and gas quality control activities
