Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a QC Specialist to support the implementation of the Quality Control program across gas construction, maintenance, leak survey, corrosion, and related activities. You will ensure work complies with federal, state, and company standards and have authority to stop unsafe work.

The role requires safety leadership, accurate documentation, contractor onboarding, and collaboration across gas operations, with travel between MA/CT/NH as needed and potential ERP involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in gas distribution, utility, or technical field preferred.
• Will be expected to become Eversource Operator Qualified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices in accordance with Health and Safety Handbook.
• Ensure all work activities comply with Gas Distribution construction standards and procedures.
• Verify that work packages have appropriate procedures, mark out tickets, and mapping information.
• Monitor resources associated with the company’s re-dig program.
• Support the onboarding of contractor crews and verify Operator Qualification Plan adherence.
• Identify non-compliant conditions and recommend corrective action.
• Responsible for accurate documentation of inspection results.
• Responsible for the company’s gas quality control programs.
• Perform activities contributing to the annual gas inspection plan including random inspections.
• Will be assigned an ERP role and support during ERP or Work Continuation events.
