Job summary

Eversource Energy in Plymouth, MA is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support the implementation of the QC program across gas construction, maintenance, and inspection activities. The position requires 3–5 years in gas distribution or related field, a bachelor’s degree, and eventual Operator Qualification. Travel between MA/CT/NH may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of gas construction and maintenance standards, work practices and procedures, and safety requirements.
• Requires knowledge assessments and audits.
• Requires knowledge and use of gas business information and office automation.
• Requires strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Must be familiar with MS Office suite and could adapt to other PC based software tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices per Health and Safety Handbook and Contractor Safety Manual.
• Verify work performed by qualified personnel per gas distribution standards.
• Verify that work packages have proper procedures and mapping information.
• Monitor resources for the re-dig program.
• On-board contractor crews and ensure Operator Qualification Plan compliance.
• Identify non-compliant conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Document inspection results accurately.
• Manage the Company’s gas quality control programs.
• Contribute to annual gas inspection plan via random inspections and re-dig activities.
• Support ERP roles during ERP or Work Continuation events.
