Job summary

Western Midstream in Mentone, TX is seeking a Gas Plant Operator to join the Loving Gas Plant Operations team in the Southern Region. You will execute startup, shutdown and operating procedures for plant equipment and monitor safety systems while maintaining production targets.

Responsibilities include collecting samples, performing routine maintenance, generating daily reports, and coordinating with control room and field operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cryogenic, oil stabilization, gas plant operations experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas operations and processing facilities.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Minimum 1 year control room or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DeltaV, Wonderware control systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Operate engines, compressors, heaters, towers, exchangers, motors, pumps, valves and alarms.
• Collect samples and adjust processes to maintain specs.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Prepare maintenance orders and generate daily production reports.
• Monitor inlet/outlet volumes and production data.
• Coordinate with control room and field operations.
• Complete reports and logs; work irregular hours.
