Gas Processing Measurement Technician – $2,500 sign-on bonus

Join to apply for the Gas Processing Measurement Technician – $2,500 sign-on bonus role at Kinder Morgan, Inc.

Position Overview

Primary Purpose: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, operation, and accuracy of renewable and liquefied natural gas measurement assets within the assigned area, including gas chromatographs, gas quality analyzers, flow computers, ultrasonic meters, coriolis meters, pressure/level/temperature transmitters, and regulators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and remove measurement, control, and regulation equipment, SCADA, and quality equipment.
  • Detect measurement errors, correct volumes, and document adjustments.
  • Monitor product volumes, ensure corrections and quality standards are maintained.
  • Interpret electrical and electronic schematics related to EFM and measurement electronics.
  • Assess facilities to ensure accurate measurement and minimize lost/unaccounted-for gas and products.
  • Perform custody transfer and control data audits as needed.
  • Maintain facilities and equipment, oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities.
  • Identify, report, and address safety and environmental concerns.
  • Complete documentation and paperwork in compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Strive for operational excellence and maintain regular attendance.
  • Respond to after-hours calls as required.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a technical field or relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, basic math skills, knowledge of electrical codes, and safe handling of gases and high-pressure systems.
  • Knowledge of chromatography, SCADA, and measurement/control equipment.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to pass background and drug tests.

  • Organizational, planning, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and safety awareness.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work at heights, and in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel as needed.
Work Environment
  • Potential exposure to low-lit areas, extreme weather, and high-pressure systems.
  • Shift work and overtime may be required.
