Job summary

Air Products is hiring an Operations Technician for the Baytown 2, TX ASU & HYCO facility. You will operate gas manufacturing units, monitor processes via DCS, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role involves 12-hour shifts, night/weekend rotation, and extensive plant responsibilities at Baytown and satellite sites. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 5+ years in process operations, ability to read P&IDs, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have strong safety focus and process discipline.
• Experience with continuous plant process operations preferred (5+ years).
• Ability to read/understand P&IDs and electrical single lines.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple gas manufacturing units including ASU and HYCO processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and control equipment and utilities via DCS.
• Maintain water chemistry for boiler systems and cooling towers.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot analytical equipment; perform inspections and log readings.
• Issue safe work permits and perform LOTO procedures as required.
• Support loading/unloading of cryogenic liquids and plant operations safety.
