Job summary

Kinder Morgan's Building Opportunities & Learning Together (BOLT) Intern Program offers a summer internship to gain hands-on experience in the energy industry and build professional and interpersonal skills. The role is based at the Division Office in Brentwood, Tennessee, with meaningful projects supporting energy delivery and safety.

Interns provide technical support to pipeline operations, develop safety/regulatory tracking, analyze data, and perform engineering calculations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Electrical Engineering degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with technical writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review safety and regulatory tracking and reporting.
• Analyze operational data and develop performance metrics.
• Develop and implement projects to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Perform pipe and compressor engineering calculations.
• Support gas measurement, system balance analyses, and design specifications.
• Prepare a capstone presentation to summarize internship learnings.
