Job summary

Kinder Morgan's BOLT Intern Program offers a hands-on summer opportunity in the energy sector. You will work with experienced project managers, gain exposure to natural gas facilities, and participate in cost estimates, forecasting, and field activities.

You will present a summary of your summer to department leadership. Seeking students pursuing Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA, leadership experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Working towards Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Demonstrated leadership experience in school/work/personal projects; interview required
• Public speaking ability
• Ability to work in team or individually
• Attention to detail and strong computer skills
• Willingness to travel within the United States; Houston HQ work location; Birmingham, AL as alternate

Responsibilities

• Assist KM Project Managers with developing and executing natural gas facility projects including pipelines, compression, gathering, treating, and processing.
• Perform engineering calculations, construction drawing reviews, cost estimates and financial forecasting; gain on-site field experience.
