Job summary

Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation is seeking an experienced engineer to support planning and execution of gas engineering projects at in-office sites in CT. The role emphasizes applying theory and field experience to solve prominent engineering challenges.

Responsibilities include leading project teams, performing complex analyses, and presenting findings to management and external stakeholders. A BS in engineering and 2–5+ years of relevant experience are required, with strong Excel/Office

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical or Civil engineering and 2–5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Visio and SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and conduction of engineering projects.
  • Perform studies, develop models, and analyze data to drive improvements.
  • Interface with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Present engineering projects to management and external parties.
  • Plan workflows to meet budgets and schedules.
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support regulatory audits and pipeline safety initiatives.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent
