Job summary

Black Hills Energy is seeking a Gas Operations Technician to safely perform general gas distribution system maintenance, operation, leak survey, odorization, CP and construction work in Castle Rock, CO. The role supports a supervisor and offers a comprehensive benefits package and a clear career path.

Pay ranges by level are provided, with Level I, II and Senior tracks. A high school diploma is required, plus progressive experience in natural gas and construction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (Level I).
• Minimum 2 years experience in natural gas, construction, maintenance or related field (Level II).
• Minimum 4 years experience in natural gas, construction, maintenance or related field (Senior).

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations on material type and size to meet load requirements and pressure.
• Ensure accurate location and installation of facilities such as service lines, mains and meter sets.
• Proficient in underground line locating and leak classification/repairs.
• Perform gas measurement, pressure regulation and over pressure protection installations.
