Job summary

AltaGas Ltd. is seeking a Helper to support safe, reliable natural gas transportation and storage under direct supervision. The role involves assisting with gas leak investigations, maintenance activities, pipeline operations, facility inspections, and emergency response efforts.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across gas storage and compression operations, while contributing to a strong culture of safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic math and computer proficiency essential.
• Ability to work safely in outdoor/industrial environments.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn natural gas operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with emergency and priority situations involving gas facilities and infrastructure.
• Support operation and monitoring of compression station systems and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks under supervision and help inspect pipelines and facilities.
• Maintain logs, read documentation, and support safety and regulatory compliance.
• Work with field personnel to load, transport, and organize materials and tools.
