Job summary

AltaGas is seeking a Helper to support safe, reliable natural gas transportation, storage, and maintenance operations. Under supervision, you will assist with gas leak investigations, compressor operation, field inspections, and emergency response activities.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to work in outdoor industrial environments. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a valid driver's license and willingness to participate in DOT testing as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Emergency Response: Respond to emergency and priority situations involving gas facilities and infrastructure; assist investigations and protect people and assets.
• Gas Storage & Compression Operations: Under supervision, assist in operating compressors and station equipment; record data and monitor gas flow and pressures.
• Maintenance & Inspection: Assist with routine maintenance; perform minor repairs; inspect pipelines and related infrastructure.
• Pipeline & Construction Support: Participate in leak surveys, locate underground facilities, support excavation and pipeline integrity programs.
• Field Operations Support: Assist with well work, monitoring, and field tasks; ensure proper vehicle and tool maintenance.
• Communication & Customer Service: Maintain professional communications with customers and contractors; work with field teams to relay information.
