Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring a Gas Meter Relight Technician (Fully Qualified) to perform meter changes and gas module upgrades on-site in Maryland. The role requires 1+ year gas meter experience, BGE OQ 18, and a valid driver's license; Fitter license is a plus.

You will inspect for hazards, ensure safe operation of equipment, and provide excellent customer service. Benefits include medical/dental/vision/life, 401(k), uniforms, tools and PPE, vacation after a year, and six paid holidays

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience with gas meter exchange and relight.
• BGE OQ 18 required; relight is optional but preferred.
• Gas Fitter’s License is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background and MVR checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform change-outs of gas meters and install gas module upgrades.
• Shut down and relight gas appliances.
• Identify hazardous conditions related to gas appliances.
• Operate company vehicle and tools safely.
• Provide professional customer service to internal and external customers.
