Job summary

Energy Transfer LP in Texas seeks a field technician to maintain gas meters, regulators, relief valves, RTU and SCADA equipment, and related instrumentation to meet regulatory and safety requirements.

You will calibrate, test, and install instrumentation in new or renovated facilities, inspect pressure/volume equipment, collect gas samples, and support safety programs with a focus on reliability and compliance. A high school diploma or GED is required with 0–4 years of midstream experience.

Qualifications

• EPA, DOT, OSHA, NEC, API and GPA knowledge and procedures
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills to interface with customer base

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate facilities in compliance with specifications, codes, safety standards and procedures
• Perform periodic accuracy tests including calibration, inspection and maintenance of quality/quantity determination equipment
• Install instrumentation and equipment in new/renovated measurement or regulation facilities
• Inspect and maintain all pressure and volumetric control equipment
• Collect gas samples in compliance with safety guidelines and participate in safety programs
