Job summary

Targa Resources in Artesia, NM is seeking a reliable Measurement Technician to support routine measurement functions and gain hands-on knowledge of natural gas characteristics, gas plant operations, and field maintenance alongside experienced teams.

You will perform calibrations, gas sampling, troubleshooting, and installation of Electronic Flow Measurement equipment (Totalflow); witness third-party meter calibrations; and assist in H2S monitor operation and safety training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist other Measurement Technicians or Supervisor with routine measurement functions.
• Learn and gain knowledge of Natural Gas Characteristics, Gas Plant Operations, Engine & Compressor Operations and Maintenance, and Gas & Liquid Measurement.
• Perform calibrations, gas sampling, troubleshooting, repair and installation of Electronic Flow Measurement equipment (Totalflow).
• Witness and verify third party meter calibrations.
• Assist with operation, calibration and troubleshooting of H2S monitors and track H2S within the pipeline system.
• Maintain cleanliness of measurement shop, office, and company vehicle.
• Assist in training new hires in safety procedures, mechanics, and preventive maintenance.
• Fill out applicable work permits, lockout/tagout documentation, attend tailgate sessions, and participate in safety meetings.
• Follow PPE guidelines and maintain safe working habits.
