Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a Measurement Technician to install, maintain, and audit natural gas measurement facilities. The role includes handling flow computers, chromatographs, regulators, meters, and related equipment, with emphasis on data accuracy and safety.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel and after-hours availability are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills (add/sub/mult/div, fractions, decimals).
• Knowledge of electronic test instruments.
• Knowledge of gas chromatography.
• Familiarity with AGA, API, and GPA standards.
• Good record of safe work practices.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Knowledge and experience with safe handling of products (gas and liquids).
• Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic, and electrical equipment and controls.
• Experience with gas measurement and control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain & operate measurement equipment.
• Detect measurement errors and correct volumes with documentation.
• Monitor area measurement system and ensure data quality.
• Oversee third-party construction/maintenance activities.
• Complete documentation and paperwork.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic, and electrical equipment.
• Respond to after-hours call-outs and emergencies as needed.
