Job Summary:

SPL is growing and is currently looking for a Gas Measurement Lead Technician in Williston, ND. The Gas Measurement Lead Technician must be team oriented, proactive and goal driven. As a direct liaison for the Operations Manager, this position plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and employee success.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform job duties onshore and/or offshore, utilizing a company vehicle and/or transportation by helicopter, boat, seaplane, etc;
  • Properly prepare all necessary paperwork and documentation of service performed;
  • Identification of industry related equipment and measurement terminology;
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain primary and secondary devices;
  • Multi-point verification and Orifice plate inspection;
  • Troubleshooting of gas measurement systems;
  • Edit and maintain preventative maintenance schedule;
  • Procure spot or composite gas samples;
  • Transport hazardous and/or nonhazardous materials;
  • Witness allocation and custody transfer calibrations;
  • Train new employees on primary tasks;
  • Review and audit calibration reports and PM schedules;
  • Approve time cards;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six (6) months gas measurement experience;
  • Intermediate knowledge of AGA/GPA/API Measurement Guidelines, BLM and COGCC regulatory requirements. Technician should be able to easily locate industry standards and government regulations;
  • Must be proficient with multiple calibration programs.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred. Applicable work experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Travel Requirements:

Out of town stay and/or offshore stay is sometimes required.

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8-16 hours Monday-Friday in SPL’s Williston, ND location. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines. May be required to be part of the "On Call" program on a rotating schedule. These hours can be extended into weekends and/or holidays.
