Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC seeks a field locator to determine gas line locations using specialized equipment and to mark work areas for safety. The role requires outdoor work and comfort with varying weather, plus the potential for occasional hand digging.

You'll follow strict safety and industry guidelines, document locate tickets, and may assist in locating other utilities depending on project needs. Training and advancement are provided.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Available for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Ability to travel locally during the business day; some out-of-area travel may be required.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Able to stand and walk long periods; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Color-differentiation ability for wiring identification.
• Proficient with technology; read locate tickets/maps.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to determine gas line locations and mark area.
• Some hand digging to uncover gas lines may be required.
• Develop knowledge of underground utility infrastructure.
• Follow company, client, and regulatory guidelines.
• May locate other utilities depending on project.
