Job summary

Technical Safety Services (TSS) seeks a Sustaining Technician I to keep Gas Life Safety Systems operating safely in semiconductor facilities. This hands-on role covers preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and responding to alarms with on-the-job training provided.

The position is onsite in the Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area with regular Monday–Friday hours, potential weekend work, and an on-call rotation. You’ll work in office and cleanroom environments and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting aptitude.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with the broader team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet the physical and environmental requirements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on Gas Life Safety Systems according to procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults and alarms.
• Test GLSS devices and verify system functionality.
• Perform sensor changes, calibrations, and testing.
• Maintain accurate inventory and service records.
• Support live system testing and permit inspections.
• Respond to building alarms and evacuations as needed.
• Provide data to ERT and EHS teams.
• Maintain onsite training and compliance.
