Job summary

New Jersey Resources is seeking an Operator to manage gas handling, leaching systems and related equipment in high-pressure natural gas and water/brine operations. The role requires maintaining pressures and flow rates, conducting inspections and coordinating with field technicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of gas pipeline safety rules and OSHA standards is preferred.
• Experience with leaching and natural gas facilities is desirable.
• Ability to prepare clear written reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop, and regulate gas handling and leaching equipment.
• Inspect gas handling and leaching equipment during shifts.
• Identify and report major malfunctions or abnormal SCADA readings.
• Coordinate safety shutdowns during emergencies with field technicians.
• Monitor SCADA data to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare required reports and schedule deliveries/receipts.
