Job summary

Accurate Marine Environmental in Portsmouth, VA seeks a Gas Free Project Coordinator to oversee daily gas free and marine environmental operations supporting Navy, commercial, and industrial customers.

You will coordinate field crews, equipment, schedules, and project documentation while ensuring NAVSEA, OSHA, and company safety standards are met. This hands-on role requires supervision of Gas Free Supervisors and technicians across shipyards and project sites.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of gas free operations, tank cleaning, confined spaces, pumping systems, and shipboard environments.
• Experience in marine, shipyard, industrial, environmental, or government contracting operations.
• Demonstrated field supervision, project coordination, and workforce management experience.
• Working knowledge of NAVSEA requirements, technical specifications, and safety procedures.
• Current OSHA 10 and HAZWOPER 40 certifications.
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DBIDS, TWIC, and other required access credentials.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and complete annual respirator fit testing.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and extended shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate gas free projects from mobilization through completion.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to Gas Free Supervisors, Leadmen, and Technicians.
• Manage manpower, equipment, materials, schedules, and daily field operations.
• Enforce safety procedures, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate project reports, labor records, and gas free documentation.
• Monitor productivity, labor hours, equipment utilization, and project costs.
• Communicate with customers, shipyard personnel, contractors, and management.
