Talen Energy is seeking a Power Plant Auxiliary Operator / Operator Trainee for the Lawrenceburg facility in Indiana. The role supports the operation of a 4-unit, natural gas-fired plant, requiring hands-on mechanical experience and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum vocational training or mechanical experience.
• 2–4 years of power plant experience preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, and P&ID's.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).

Responsabilités

• Perform piping and conduit installation for upgrades and modifications.
• Operate demineralizers, compressors, and turbine components.
• Inspect Watch on each system within the plant.
• Maintain equipment by tightening fittings and replacing components.
• Read meters and gauges to record operating data.
• Keep plant and control room clean and organized.
• Coordinate purchasing and vendor repairs for equipment.
• Assist with outage planning and scheduling.
• Support operator training program and root cause analysis.
• May operate heavy equipment such as man lift and forklift.
