Job summary

Southern Cross, LLC in Aiken, SC is hiring Gas Leak Survey Technicians to inspect natural gas lines for leaks using specialized detection equipment. This is a field-based, outdoor role requiring walking 5+ miles daily and driving your own vehicle between sites. No experience required—paid training provided.

Starting pay is $18 per hour with guaranteed $0.50 increases at 60 and 180 days. Benefits include medical, dental & vision insurance, paid holidays & PTO from day 1, mileage reimbursement,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable personal vehicle for daily work use.
• Comfortable walking 5+ miles daily.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Walk neighborhoods and utility areas (5+ miles daily).
• Use specialized equipment to detect natural gas leaks.
• Record and report findings accurately.
• Identify potential safety concerns.
• Work independently after completing training.
• Drive your personal vehicle between assigned work locations.
