$20.00/hr - $24.00/hr

Position Overview

The Field Technician is responsible for managing the landfill gas well field. Training will be provided on using a gas chromatograph. Daily tasks include recording flow, temperature, and composition readings into a well field program and emailing reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is required. Excellent communication skills are essential. The role reports to the Well Tech Supervisor.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with basic hand tools, be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and capable of operating an all-terrain vehicle. This is an on-call position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust well field operations to maintain gas quality and quantity.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Maintain accurate well field data and logs.
  • Take wellhead readings and verify corrective actions for compliance.
  • Follow safety and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in operational planning for construction and field expansions.
  • Respond to call-outs and work overtime as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities and vehicles.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment.
  • Learn about all gas collection equipment.
  • Perform analytical tests, including calibration of instruments.
  • Keep detailed operating logs.
  • Support operational planning for outages.
