Job summary

One Gas offers the Journey Gas Worker Program, a 12-24 month training track designed to prepare new field employees for gas distribution, field service and operations with a strong emphasis on safety. The program includes operating equipment, installation work, leak troubleshooting, and on-site customer support while meeting company safety standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and either hold a Class A CDL or be able to obtain one within a 180-day probation.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL or ability to obtain CDL during the 180-day probationary period.
• Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the job.
• Able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating company equipment.
• Perform general construction labor related to installation of main lines, service renewals, and line replacement.
• Troubleshooting and investigating gas leaks.
• First responder to leaks - reacting immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
• Examining and inspecting gas appliances and performing re-lights.
• Communicate company policies and assist customers on site.
