Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP seeks a field technician to monitor and maintain remote compressor stations, valve sites and pipelines across natural gas operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with overhauls, and ensure safe operation of dehydration and gas processing equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must pass drug test and background check.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment including engines, dehydration equipment, filter vessels, pumps, and gas gathering systems.
• Gauges tanks and checks pump action to maintain pipeline pressure.
• Collects fluid/gas samples and conducts tests.
• Performs maintenance and repairs to facilities and equipment.
• Upholds health, safety and environmental standards.
