Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a skilled Assembler for the Sidney, OH facility to rebuild Gas End compressors. You will follow detailed drawings, inspect parts, and assemble components with a focus on quality and safety. Strong manual dexterity and ability to interpret manuals and blueprints are essential.

You will use pneumatic, power, and hand tools, maintain tools, and support other departments. The role requires teamwork, adherence to safety rules, and willingness to participate in process

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Fully trained to train others on multiple products per training matrix.
• Experience with root cause analysis (5 Whys) and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild Gas End compressors using new and reusable parts.
• Read method sheets, diagrams, blueprints, and drawings for proper assembly.
• Identify quality defects and unsafe conditions; follow safety rules.
• Operate pneumatic, power, and hand tools to perform duties.
• Interpret prints to determine dimensions and material requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment; create work orders for repairs.
• Load/unload materials with conveyors, carts, forklifts, hoists, or similar.
• Collaborate with team and other departments; suggest process improvements.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and organized; monitor inventory levels.
• Perform general production tasks including pipe bending, assembly, and inspections.
