Job summary

Elizabethtown Gas, a natural gas utility, is seeking a field technician to perform construction and maintenance on its distribution systems in New Jersey. The role requires hands-on work, heavy equipment operation, and readiness for on-call rotation.

Hours are Monday–Friday, with potential overtime and on-call duties. A high school diploma and valid NJ driver’s license are required, with CDL preferred; comprehensive benefits are offered through the SJI family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in construction work.
• Familiar with air tools and construction equipment.
• Valid NJ Driver's License; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction and maintenance on Elizabethtown Gas Company distribution systems.
• Install mains and services.
• Repair gas leaks.
• Locate and mark-outs.
• Deactivate and activate mains and services.
• Operate field equipment and tools as required.
