A CDL is required, with annual safety and DOT testing obligations. The position emphasizes safe operations, public communication, and readiness to respond to gas odors and emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must hold a CDL (company policy regarding CDL applies).
• DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements apply under 49 CFR Part 40 and FMCSA/PHMSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and operate natural gas mains, services, and related equipment to provide gas service.
• Perform fusion and mechanical fittings, tap and stop plastic and steel mains and services.
• Inspect and maintain gas distribution facilities, meters, regulators, and odorizer equipment.
• Respond to gas odors, emergencies, and leak calls in a timely and safe manner.
• Work in confined spaces and operate power tools, CAD/ MDT tasks as needed.
