New Mexico Gas Company is hiring for Construction and Maintenance Technicians in the Belen area. The role involves preparing sites, working around live gas mains, excavating, installing piping, and performing safety tests, with paid training provided.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL, and the ability to obtain a CDL if not currently held. Senior level requires 3 years experience and JGL per location; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Entry level: ability to obtain NM CDL within 1 year of hire during company training.
• Senior level: 3 years experience, CDL, and JGL depending on location.
• CDL preferred as a bonus or requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job sites for safe operation.
• Work around live gas mains and services performing taps, stop-offs, or tie-ins.
• Excavate site using manual tools or machinery with safe procedures.
• Install and maintain steel pipe or PE plastic pipe using heat fusion/electrofusion.
• Perform safety tests, including pressure tests on gas pipelines.
• Operate and inspect company vehicles and equipment for safety and reliability.
