Job summary

South Jersey Industries seeks an experienced construction and maintenance worker to perform field tasks on Elizabethtown Gas distribution systems in New Jersey. The role involves installing mains and services, locating leaks, repairing gas lines, and using air tools and construction equipment in all weather conditions.

Hours are Monday–Friday with on-call and potential overtime; a valid NJ driver’s license is required, CDL preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction work.
• Familiar with air tools and construction equipment.
• Valid NJ Driver's License; CDL preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs construction and maintenance on distribution systems.
• Installation of mains and services.
• Repairs gas leaks and performs pipe coating.
• Locating and mark-outs; valve maintenance and activation.
• First response to gas-related emergencies and paperwork.
