Job summary

Southeast Connections, LLC is seeking an SEC - Equipment Operator to support the natural gas distribution team in Charleston, SC. This role performs construction and maintenance work on gas service lines and underground utilities, operating equipment such as backhoe, excavator, and trenchers under foreman guidance.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience, a valid driver's license with a clean record and the ability to obtain a CDL, and a strong work ethic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of prior operating experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to obtain CDL; gas construction experience; team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy gas distribution equipment (backhoe, excavator, trenchers) safely.
• Load and transport materials; secure job site to protect public safety.
• Interact with customers and the public; follow safety policies.
• Work with foreman and follow directions; operate within tight timelines.
